About the position.

We’re looking for an adaptive, multi-talented Chief of Clinical Care to work on our leadership team to help us achieve our vision. 

This position will be a behavioral health subject matter expert, with expertise in evidence-based behavioral health interventions and digital product development experience as well as expertise in clinical management. 

The Team.

This is a cross-functional role where you will be working with team members from Product, Operations, Marketing, and Content to help us meet our goals. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously to improve our processes and will be managing multiple projects and priorities at once. Also, given the cross-functional nature of the role, you will have excellent business acumen, organizational expertise, and interpersonal skills.


  • Ideal candidate would have master’s level education in behavioral health (such as Clinical Psychology or Social Work) or LCSW.
  • 7+ years relevant work experience with clinical services delivery.
  • 3-5 years experience in a healthcare setting focusing on clinical management, including direct supervision of therapists.
  • You have deep knowledge on the credentialing process and experience working with payors.
  • Ideally, experience working in product development for technology-enabled behavioral healthcare with digital behavioral health expertise focused on user experience.
  • You thrive when you are managing multiple projects at once
  • You are an excellent verbal and written communicator
  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage company work environment

Role Responsibilities.

  • Ensures that clinical care reflects effective clinical best practice, and that all assessment and treatment components are evidence-based.
  • Manages network of therapists, including reviewing clinical notes.
  • Clinical subject matter expert supporting digital product design and development
  • Clinical program design, supporting clinical strategy and content development, product development, and clinical services.
  • Develops and documents policies and procedures to ensure compliance and policy adherence. 
  • Contributes to the writing of clinical content for programs and products with specific focus on participant/user directed content.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle team to ensure smooth therapist credentialing and insurance billing processes.
  • Stays up to date on external research and innovation in the behavioral health space and applicable competitive landscapes.

Preference for:

  • Candidates who demonstrate a deep commitment to the problems we are solving
  • Candidates located in Washington, DC or mid-Atlantic. If based elsewhere, frequent travel to DC will be expected for this position once it is safe to do so.
