Hurdle empowers organizations to provide their employees/members with culturally informed mental health services, including digitally accessible self-mastery tools, wellness workshops, and teletherapy.  In this way, we support diverse populations who are underserved by traditional resources. About the Position.

We’re looking for an adaptive, multi-talented individual to ensure our brand is unified across our website, app, and marketing materials. 

The creative project manager will drive brand awareness and affinity by defining the brand purpose and strategies that position Hurdle as an industry leader to health plans, employers, consumers, and providers. They will be responsible for coordinating all facets of brand development across owned, earned, and paid channels including the corporate website, social media, PR, and audience insights.  


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business.
  • Experience managing short and long term creative projects.
  • Experience working on and with a small cross-functional marketing team or creative agency.
  • Demonstrated skill in building effective relationships both internally and externally.
  • Experience developing marketing strategies and campaigns with or at a health plan or in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience positioning brand and messaging across multiple audiences, from business to consumer to prospective employees.

Not required, but nice to haves:

  • Experience in search engine optimization (SEO) and building a digital brand ecosystem
  • Demonstrated abilities to lead consumer research and insight plans.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver results on complex initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively influence across levels.
  • Strong, proven analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Start-up experience

Role Responsibilities.

  • Guiding projects from start to finish. Determining scope, assigning tasks, setting deadlines; everything involved in setting up projects for execution.
  • Ensuring everyone has what they need to get their work done. And if they don’t, removing roadblocks.
  • Lead communication between all stakeholders and establish expectations, provide status updates, hand off project deliverables, field feedback, and more.
  • Assist team in gathering necessary assets including copy, photography, videography, meditations, etc.
  • Engage and manage third party contractors and vendors that may be required for delivery of certain components of the project.
  • Identify, develop, and improve upon creative processes across channels to create clear, efficient, and collaborative workflows.
  • Regularly report the status of creative projects and ensure project schedules are up to date. Take notes during team and project meetings, and share those notes to keep stakeholders aligned.

Preference for:

  • Candidates with clinical expertise, knowledge of mental health or other public health issues
  • Candidates who demonstrate a deep commitment to the problems we are solving
  • Candidates located in Washington, DC or mid-Atlantic. If based elsewhere, frequent travel to DC will be expected for this position once it is safe to do so
