About the Position.
We’re looking for an adaptive, multi-talented Practice Management and Revenue Cycle Lead to work directly with our executive team to help us achieve our vision. We seek a revenue cycle professional who is ready to roll up their sleeves and build upon the foundation of Hurdle’s current operations.

The Team.

This is a cross-functional role where you will be working with team members from Product, Operations, Marketing, Content and Clinical Operations to help us meet our goals. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously to improve our processes and will be managing multiple projects and priorities at once. Also, given the cross-functional nature of the role, you will have excellent business acumen, organizational expertise, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications.

  • 5+ years’ experience in performing mental health billing, collections, and provider enrollment activities.
  • Experience with optimizing mental health EMR/PM software. DrChrono experience is a plus but not required.
  • Service-driven professional who sees their role in RCM as an extension of the mental healthcare team.
  • Front-line professional who is interested in promotion and career growth through mentorship and incremental increased responsibilities.
  • Application of HIPAA compliance and self-governance in a virtual work environment.
  • Ability to educate consumers on out of pocket expenses and communicate with payers to achieve maximum collections.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, early-stage startup work environment

Role Responsibilities.

  • Lead the development of processes and systems configurations to support revenue cycle operations; and reporting on revenue cycle results and performance to leadership.
  • Maximizes billing and claims management efficiency by developing billing and collections procedures and provider manuals to ensure successful execution of insurance plan requirements; 
  • Manages and improved efficiency of system to credentia network of therapists
  • Ensures accurate medical billing and the successful implementation of revenue cycle processes by complying with policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards to mitigate regulatory and compliance risk; 
  • Creates processes to mitigate risk; implementing practice management systems and business processes to support efficient revenue cycle operations; and managing vendor accuracy and compliance to drive efficiency and quality.
  • Utilizes industry knowledge and best practices to inform and drive profitability, performance, and collections; leverages data and trends to lead the improvement of revenue cycle process performance.
  • Supports team in other administrative tasks as appropriate.

Preference for:

  • Candidates who demonstrate a deep commitment to the problems we are solving
  • Candidates located in Washington, DC or mid-Atlantic. If based elsewhere, frequent travel to DC will be expected for this position once it is safe to do so.
